The Mystery of Black and White

Good Morning Everyone!

You remember when I showed you those funny Black and White's from Modish? Well shortly after than Amanda from Flex Family sent me a link to another site with loads of hilarious, strange black and white's. For instance, this one:

This photo is a fraud you say? Well how did they do it? It's film after all, no photoshop. Well let me tell you a secret I learned in art school {perhaps it's not really a secret, but I was scandalized when I found out!}. Some of the old photographers would cut up their negatives and reassemble them to create photos like this one. Or like this one:

You really think our dear old Ansel found a world with lighting this perfect? No way Jose. This photo is comprised of at least three different negatives taken at this location at different times of the day. Ansel Adams was the master of deceit, in a good way :)

But back to the funny Black and White's. Here are more from that site Amanda sent me.

The third row is my favorite. I mean seriously? A diving mask? Hahahahahaha!!!! I have just one more thing to share before we move on to today's list post. Since this is supposed to be an "inspirational images" post after all.

So cute!!! I definitely want one of these benches in my entry way when I'm rich. The artist who designed this bench has some other really cool pieces, but I have to be honest, his website is in symbols I don't understand so I don't know what his name is. Oops! :)

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

{{{Amendment::: I found his name: Satoshi Itasaka.}}}

  1. Those are some weird photos.
