Homemade Nut Butter

Confession time::: Hi, I'm Janee and I'm undeniably addicted to nut butters.

There's almost no reason to ever eat plain old boring peanut butter. We've had at least one conversation recently about my love of almond butter. But what about every other kind of nut? Oh, it's possible. I found an amazing tutorial on how to make nut butter at home with a food processor. It's so damn easy I couldn't believe it! It happened a little differently for me than described in the instructions though. She says it takes about 15 minutes in total but it only took me about 10 minutes max. Basically all you do is put your nuts in your food processor, puree, scrape down the sides, puree, scrape, puree, scrape.... etc. until your butter is creamy and starts to release oils. After your nut butter is ready put it in a jar, store it in the fridge and don't forget to stir the naturally separating oils back in before your use it.

As of right now I've made peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter, walnut butter and pistachio butter. Almond butter remains my favorite, but I still need to try hazelnut butter and pecan butter! And then there are add ins to try, salt, honey, cinnamon, chocolate...
